Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the influencing factors of osteoporosis in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients. 【Methods】 A total of 300 newly diagnosed patients with type 2 diabetes from March 2020 to March 2022 were selected. Bone mineral density (BMD) of lumbar spine (L1-4) was measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry. According to the BMD value of patients,they were divided into normal bone mass group (n=59),osteopenia group (n=158),and osteoporosis group (n=83). The influencing factors of osteoporosis in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients were analyzed. 【Results】 Among 300 newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients,158 cases had bone mass reduction (52.67%),and 83 cases had osteoporosis (27.67%). The age of osteoporosis group was higher than that of osteopenia group and normal bone mass group,while high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was lower than that of osteopenia group and normal bone mass group. Logistic regression analysis showed that age was significantly positively correlated with the occurrence of osteopenia and osteoporosis in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes (P<0.05),and HDL-C was significantly negatively correlated with the occurrence of osteopenia and osteoporosis in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The incidence rate of osteoporosis and osteopenia in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients is significantly increased. Age and HDL-C are the influencing factors of osteoporosis in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients.
