Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the impact of the WeChat mini program for esophageal nutrition management on the nutritional status, quality of life, and its complications of the nutrition pipeline of discharged patients after minimally invasive esophageal cancer resection. 【Methods】 A total of 96 patients who underwent minimally invasive esophageal cancer resection in our hospital from November 2021 to September 2022 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group (followed up using the esophageal nutrition management WeChat mini program,n=50) and a control group (followed up using phone or WeChat,n=46). On the day of discharge (before intervention) and three months after discharge (after intervention),the body mass index (BMI),grip strength, skin fold thickness, quality of life (QLQ-C30) score of tumor patients, and KPS score of two groups of patients were compared. The serum albumin (Alb),hemoglobin (Hb),prealbumin (PAB),and creatinine (Scr) of the two groups of patients were reviewed and compared, and the incidence of postoperative complications in the jejunal nutrition pipeline was recorded. 【Results】 After intervention, the BMI,grip strength,QLQ-C30 score, and KPS score of both groups of patients were higher than those before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05); The serum levels of Alb,Scr,Hb and PAB in both groups of patients were higher than those before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The incidence of jejunal nutrition tube complications in the observation group was 8.00% (4/50),lower than the control group's 15.22% (7/46),with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The application of the WeChat mini program for esophageal nutrition management after minimally invasive esophageal cancer resection can improve the quality of life of patients, improve malnutrition status and dietary habits, reduce the incidence of nutritional pipeline complications, and is worthy of clinical reference.
