Abstract:【Objective】 To compare the clinical effects of functional adsorptive denture and traditional removable denture in repairing dentition loss. 【Methods】 From September 2020 to August 2021, 86 patients with dentition loss who underwent complete denture restoration in our hospital were randomly divided into control group (traditional removable denture restoration) and observation group (functional adsorption denture restoration) with 43 cases in each group. The retention and stability scores, masticatory efficiency, comfort, mucosal tenderness points and subjective satisfaction were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 After restoration, the retention and stability scores of maxillary and mandibular dentures in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Before repair, there was no significant difference in masticatory efficiency and comfort between the two groups (P>0.05); After repair, the masticatory efficiency and comfort of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). On the 3rd and 5th day after repair, the tenderness points of maxillary and mandibular mucosa in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05); Three months after repair, the satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Compared with traditional removable dentures, functional adsorption dentures can improve denture retention and stability scores, masticatory efficiency, comfort, reduce mucosal tenderness points, and improve patient satisfaction.
