Effect of Wrist Ankle Acupuncture Combined with Patient-controlled Intravenous Analgesia Pump on Pain and Complications in Patients with Mixed Hemorrhoids

Abstract：【Objective】To investigate the effect of wrist ankle acupuncture combined with patient-controlled intravenous analgesia pump on pain and complications in patients with mixed hemorrhoids. 【Methods】 A total of 80 patients with mixed hemorrhoids who underwent external stripping and internal ligation from February 2019 to January 2020 were divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The dosage of analgesic pump, pain visual analogue scale (VAS), nursing satisfaction and complications were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The dosage of analgesic pump in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group at 12 h, 24 h and 48 h after operation (P<0.05); There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups on the first day after operation (P>0.05), but the VAS score of the observation group on the third and fifth day after operation was significantly lower than that of the control group; The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); The incidence of complications such as urinary retention, itching and vertigo in the two groups had no significant difference(P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 Wrist ankle acupuncture combined with patient-controlled intravenous analgesia pump can effectively reduce the pain of patients with mixed hemorrhoids, reduce the use of analgesic drugs, improve nursing satisfaction, and will not increase the incidence of complications.
