Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the relationship between the expression of annexin A2 and HMGB1 and the pathological grade of gliomas and seizures. 【Methods】Eighty glioma tissue samples (observation group) and 40 surgical tissues (control group) were collected from the pathology center of our hospital. The expression of annexin A2 and HMGB1 protein in the two groups were detected by immunohistochemical staining, and the differences of annexin A2 and HMGB1 protein expression in patients with different histological grades, seizure frequency and seizure time were analyzed.【Results】The positive rates of annexin A2 protein and HMGB1 protein in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (χ2=22.097,P<0.05;χ2=26.167,P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the positive expression rate of annexin A2 protein among the patients with different pathological grades in the observation group (P<0.05). The positive expression rate of HMGB1 protein in different pathological grades, seizure frequency and duration of epilepsy in the observation group was statistically significant (P<0.05).【Conclusion】The positive expression rate of annexin A2 and HMGB1 protein in the lesions of glioma patients increased significantly; overexpression of annexin A2 protein and HMGB1 protein is related to the increase of malignant degree of glioma and seizure.
