Abstract:【Objective】To explore the effects of information-motivation-behavioral skills (IMB) model combined with continuous nursing on neurological function recovery, lower limb function, and complications in patients with cerebral infarction treated by bridging. 【Methods】 A total of 90 patients with cerebral infarction treated by bridging from January 2015 to October 2018 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group. Patients in the control group received routine continuing nursing measures, while patients in the observation group were given IMB model combined with continuing nursing measures. Neurological function recovery, lower limb function, WHO Quality of Life Brief Scale (WHO-QOL-100), complications and nursing satisfaction were observed and compared in the two groups. 【Results】After nursing, the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The Fugl-Meyer scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group at one month and three months after nursing (P<0.05). The scores of WHO-QOL-100 scale in the two groups after nursing were higher than those before nursing, and changes in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of total complications in the observation group was 11.11% (5/45), which was lower than 31.11% (14/45) in the control group (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group was 95.56% (43/45), which was significantly higher than 77.78% (35/45) of the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】IMB model combined with continuing nursing is beneficial to the recoveries of nerve and lower limb function, reduces complications and improves the quality of life in patients with cerebral infarction bridging surgery. It is worthy of clinical application.
