Effect of Closed Negative Pressure Suction Combined with Microsurgery on Hand Function and TIMP-1 Expression in Patients with Scar Contracture after Hand Burn

Abstract：【Objective】To investigate the effect of closed negative pressure suction (VSD) combined with microsurgery on hand function and TIMP-1 level of contracture tissue in patients with hand burn scar contracture. 【Methods】A total of 122 cases of hand burn scar contracture from November 2016 to November 2017 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with routine surgery, while the observation group was treated with VSD combined with microsurgery. The total activity of finger joint (TAM) value, ability of daily living (ADL) score and the in-situ expression of matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor-1 (TIMP-1) in the scar contracture tissue were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The TAM value and ADL score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The expression of TIMP-1 level in the observation group was lower than that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】Closed negative pressure suction combined with microsurgery is effective in the treatment of hand burn scar contracture, which is worthy of clinical application.
