Abstract:【Objective】To observe the effects of 3+1 holistic rehabilitation nursing on cognitive function recovery and quality of life in elderly patients with Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) after general anesthesia hip replacement. 【Methods】A total of 92 elderly patients with POCD after general anesthesia hip replacement treated in our hospital from September 2015 to September 2017 were randomly divided into the control group and the study group, with 46 cases in each group. Both groups were given basic treatment. Routine nursing care was applied to patients in the control group, while 3+1 holistic rehabilitation nursing was applied to patients in the study group, with the intervention continuing until patient discharge. The mini mental state examination (MMSE) score, activity of daily living scale (ADL) score and the world health organization quality of life- brief scale (WHO QOL-BREF) score were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. 【Results】After intervention, the scores of MMSE (orientation, memory, attention, calculation, recall ability and language ability) in the two groups were significantly higher than those before the intervention (P<0.05), and were significantly higher in the study group compared tothe control group (P<0.05).The ADL scores in the two groups after intervention were significantly lower than those before intervention (P<0.05), and the ADL score in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of the two groups in the physiology, psychology, social relations and environment were significantly higher than those before the intervention (P<0.05) and those in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】3+1 holistic rehabilitation nursing can effectively promote the recovery of cognitive function and improve the quality of life for the elderly POCD patients with general anesthesia hip replacement.
