Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the effects of tirofiban local intra-arterial catheter thrombolysis (TTT) on platelet parameters and serum levels of S100B protein and neuron-specific enolase (NSE) in patients with cerebral infarction.【Methods】 A total of 110 patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 55 cases in each group. The control group received standard drug therapy, while the observation group received additional TTT treatment with tirofiban. Short-term efficacy, pre-and post-treatment scores on the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), and Barthel Index (BI), cerebral blood flow indices, platelet parameters [platelet count (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV), and platelet distribution width (PDW)], as well as serum levels of S100B and NSE, were compared between the two groups.【Results】 The total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, NIHSS scores decreased and FMA and BI scores increased in both groups (all P<0.05), with the observation group showing lower NIHSS scores and higher FMA and BI scores compared to the control group (P<0.05). Cerebral artery blood flow indices improved in both groups, with greater improvements in the observation group (P<0.05). PLT increased and both MPV and PDW decreased in the two groups (P<0.05), with the observation group showing higher PLT and lower MPV and PDW than the control group (P<0.05). Serum levels of S100B and NSE decreased in both groups, with lower levels observed in the observation group (P<0.05).【Conclusion】 TTT with tirofiban can effectively enhance therapeutic outcomes in patients with cerebral infarction, promote recovery of neurological, motor, and self-care functions, improve cerebral blood circulation, and regulate platelet parameters and serum levels of S100B and NSE.
