Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the anesthetic effect of total intravenous propofol anesthesia in radical resection of lung cancer and study its effect on serum cytokines. 【Methods】A total of 70 patients who underwent radical surgery for lung cancer were randomly divided into two group, with 35 cases in each group. The control group received sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia, while the observation group received propofol intravenous anesthesia. Hemodynamic parameters, serum cytokines and intraoperative anesthesia were compared between the two groups. 【Results】At the time of admission (T0), the difference of MAP, HR and SpO2 between the two group was not statistically significant (P>0.05). At the time of T1(start of ventilation),T2 (end of ventilation) and T3 (end of surgery), the measured values of MAP and HR in the control group were lower than those in the observation group (P<0.05). Levels of SpO2 from T1~T4 (extubation) were not significant differences between the two group (P>0.05). There were no significant differences in serum IL-6, IL-8 and IL-10 levels between two group before surgery (P>0.05). At 2h after operation, the serum levels of IL-6 and IL-8 in the observation group were lower (P<0.05) than those in the control group; While the serum IL-10 level at 2h after surgery in the observation group were higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The anesthetic effects of the two groups was no significant difference (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】The effects of total intravenous propofol anesthesia on hemodynamic parameters and cytokine balance in patients undergoing radical resection of lung cancer are less than those of sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia.
