Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the significance of serum soluble MHC class Ⅰ chain-related molecule A (sMICA) level in the diagnosis of gastric cancer. 【Methods】 The differences in serum levels of sMICA, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), carbohydrate antigens (CA19-9, CA72-4) were compared among 92 newly diagnosed gastric cancer patients (gastric cancer group), 89 gastritis patients (gastritis group) and 86 healthy people (healthy group). The relationship between serum sMICA level and disease course in gastric cancer group was analyzed. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn to analyze the clinical application value of serum sMICA level in screening and diagnosis of gastric cancer. 【Results】 The serum levels of sMICA, CEA, CA19-9 and CA72-4 in the gastric cancer group were higher than those in the gastritis group and the healthy group, and the levels of all indicators in the gastritis group were higher than those in the healthy group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The serum sMICA level in gastric cancer patients with different stages and different degrees of metastasis gradually increased with the progression of the disease (P<0.05), but there was no significant correlation with the degree of differentiation of gastric cancer patients (P>0.05). The combined detection of sMICA+CEA+CA19-9+CA72-4 had high diagnostic efficacy for gastric cancer patients (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The detection of serum sMICA level is helpful for the screening and diagnosis of gastric cancer, and can be used as a biomarker for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer.
