Diagnostic Value of Serum Triglyceride/Cystatin C Ratio Combined with Urine N-Acetyl-β-D-Glucosaminidase Detection for Diabetic Nephropathy at an Early Stage

Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the diagnostic value of triglyceride (TG)/cystatin C (cys C) ratio combined with urine N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (UNAG) for the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy (DN).【Methods】 A total of 182 patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) were included in this study, with 69 cases in the DN group and 113 cases in the non-DN group. The baseline data were compared between the two groups. Logistic regression was used to identify factors affecting the early diagnosis of DN, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was performed to evaluate the diagnostic value of related indicators. The UNAG and TG/cys C ratio were also analyzed in patients with different stages of DN.【Results】 Logistic multivariate regression analysis revealed that serum creatinine, UNAG, and TG/cys C were influencing factors for the early diagnosis of DN (all P<0.05). The ROC curve demonstrated that the combination of UNAG and TG/cys C had higher diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, and area under the curve (AUC) than each indicator used individually (all P<0.05). The UNAG level was higher in the clinical DN group than in the early DN group, while the TG/cys C ratio in the clinical DN group was lower in the clinical DN group (both P<0.05).【Conclusion】 The combination of the TG/cys C ratio and UNAG can improve the diagnostic accuracy for diabetic nephropathy.
