| Correlation between NLR and Condition and Short-term Prognosis in Patients with ACS |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the correlation between neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and the condition and short-term prognosis of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). 【Methods】 A total of 136 patients with ACS treated in the Department of Cardiology of our hospital from November 2016 to September 2019 was selected. The patients were divided into high NLR group (NLR 3.51, n=68) and low NLR group (NLR < 3.51, n=68) according to the NLR value. The subjects were followed up for 30 days after discharge. The end point of follow-up was the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular events and the follow-up time was recorded. The basic clinical data, severity and number of vascular lesions were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in low NLR group was higher than that in the high NLR group, the levels of serum troponin I (cTnI), creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB), the proportion of multi vessel lesions and MACE in the low NLR group were higher than those in the high NLR group (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that NLR had a positive correlation with cTnI (r=0.761, P<0.05), no significant correlation with CK-MB (r=0.518, P=0.071>0.05), and a negative correlation with LVEF (r=-0.692, P<0.01). Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that cTnI and NLR were closely related to mace in patients with ACS, and their odds ratios (OR) (95%CI) were 1.58 (1.07~3.14) and 1.26 (0.81~2.75) respectively (P<0.05). Kaplan Meier survival curve showed that the survival rate without MACE event in the low NLR group was significantly higher than that in the high NLR group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 NLR is a potential index to evaluate the condition, the number of diseased vessels and the short-term prognosis of ACS.
