Abstract 【Objective】 To study the clinical effect of detail nursing in the treatment of postpartum urinary retention(PUR) by low frequency electric stimulation(LFES) on pelvic floor muscle. 【Methods】 From March 2015 to September 2017, 82 patients with PUR were randomly divided into two groups: the observation group (n=41) and the control group (n=41). All received LFES therapy.The control group was treated with routine nursing, and the observation group was given detailed nursing on the basis of the control group. The nursing effect was compared between the two groups.【Results】 The first urination and hospitalization time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the residual urine volume of the observation group was less than that of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of each dimension of quality of life in the two groups were improved after nursing, and the scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the observation group and the control group (P>0.05).【Conclusion】 During the treatment of PUR patients with LFER, the application of detail nursing can promote urination and reduce adverse reactions, so it is worth popularizing.
