| Efficacy of Dapagliflozin Combined with Enalapril in the Treatment of Patients with Diabetic Nephropathy |

Abstract 【Objective】 To investigate the efficacy of dapagliflozin combined with enalapril in the treatment of patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN). 【Methods】 A total of 93 patients with DN admitted to our hospital from February 2022 to November 2025 were enrolled. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into a control group (n=47, treated with enalapril) and an observation group (n=46, treated with dapagliflozin combined with enalapril). The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared, as well as blood glucose indices [fasting blood glucose (FPG), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c)], renal function indices [β2-microglobulin (β2-MG), cystatin C (cys C), homocysteine (Hcy)], inflammatory markers [intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), serum amyloid A (SAA), interleukin-6 (IL-6)], oxidative stress indices [total antioxidant capacity (TAOC), malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD)], and safety before and after treatment. 【Results】 After treatment, the efficacy in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of FPG, HbA1c, β2-MG, cys C, Hcy, ICAM-1, SAA, IL-6, and MDA in both groups were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05);Furthermore, those levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of TAOC and SOD in both groups were higher than those before treatment (P<0.05), and both TACO and SOD levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 Dapagliflozin combined with enalapril in the treatment of DN patients can effectively improve clinical efficacy by reducing blood glucose levels, alleviating inflammatory response and oxidative stress, and promoting the recovery of renal function, with good safety.
