The Effect of Inspiratory Muscle Training Combined with Weight-bearing Training on Joint Function Recovery and Incidence of Pulmonary Infection in Patients Undergoing Rehabilitation Training after Hip Replacement Surgery |

Abstract 【Objective】 To explore the effects of inspiratory muscle training combined with weight-bearing training on joint function recovery and pulmonary infection incidence in patients undergoing rehabilitation training after hip replacement surgery.【Methods】 A total of 100 patients who underwent hip replacement surgery at the Xingyuan Hospital in Yulin City from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 50 patients in each group, using a random number table method. 7 days after hip replacement surgery, the control group received routine breathing training combined with weight-bearing rehabilitation training, while the observation group received inspiratory muscle training in addition to the control group. Two groups of pulmonary function indicators [forced expiratory volume at 1 second (FEV1), forced vital capacity (FVC), peak expiratory flow rate (PEF), and maximum expiratory pressure (MIP)], hip joint function, quality of life, and incidence of complications were compared before and after intervention. 【Results】 After intervention, both groups showed an increase in lung function indicators, hip joint function scores, and quality of life scores (P<0.05), with the observation group showing a more significant increase (P<0.05); The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The combination of inspiratory muscle training and weight-bearing training can promote the recovery of lung function and hip joint function in patients undergoing hip replacement surgery during the perioperative period, improve their quality of life, reduce the incidence of complications such as pulmonary infections, and have high clinical application value.
