Abstract  【Objective】To study the clinical efficacy of lysine inositol vitamin B12 as auxiliary nutritional support and health guidance in the treatment of malnutrition in children. 【Method】 A total of 96 children with malnutrition admitted to our hospital from February 2017 to March 2021 were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group based on different treatment methods, with 48 cases in each group. The control group received routine nutritional support and health guidance, while the observation group received treatment with lysine inositol vitamin B12 oral solution on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for three months. The clinical efficacy and serum indicators [hemoglobin (Hb),albumin (ALB),total protein (TP)],and trace elements (calcium, iron, zinc) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The occurrence of adverse reactions in the observation group was recorded. 【Result】 The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.92% (47/48),which was higher than 83.33% (40/48) of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P=0.036). After treatment, the Hb,ALB,and TP of the two groups of children were higher than those before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05); The levels of calcium, iron, and zinc in both groups of children were higher than those before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The observation group experienced 1 case of diarrhea and 2 cases of nausea, with an adverse reaction rate of 6.25% (3/48),which was mild and improved without special treatment. 【Conclusion】 L-Lysine Inositol Vitamin B12 oral solution can effectively treat malnutrition in children and promote the absorption of trace elements such as calcium, iron, and zinc, which is worthy of clinical reference.
