Abstract  【Objective】To study the application value of color ultrasound combined with serum galactose agglutinin-3(gal-3) and soluble growth stimulating expression gene 2 protein(sST2) in the diagnosis of hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy with left heart failure. 【Methods】96 hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy with left heart failure patients diagnosed in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2021 were included in the study group, and 96 patients without cardiovascular disease who underwent physical examination in our hospital during the same period were included in the control group.Color ultrasound combined with serum gal-3 and sST2 were performed in both groups. Color ultrasound indexes and serum gal-3 and sST2 levels of patients with different cardiac function grades were compared between the two groups and the study group. The color ultrasound indexes and serum gal-3 and sST2 levels of patients with different cardiac function grades in the study group were compared, and the correlation between color ultrasound indexes, serum gal-3 and sST2 levels and cardiac function grades was analyzed by Pearson correlation.【Results】LVESD, LVEDD, LAD, IVST, LVPWT, left ventricular Tei index and serum gal-3 and sST2 levels in the study group were higher than those in the control group, LVFS, LVEF and E/A were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). In the study group, LVESD, LVEDD, LAD, IVST, LVPWT, left ventricular Tei index and serum gal-3 and sST2 levels of patients with grade Ⅳ cardiac function were higher than those of patients with grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ cardiac function, LVFS, LVEF and E/A were lower than those of patients with grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ cardiac function (P<0.05). LVESD, LVEDD, LAD, IVST, LVPWT, left ventricular Tei index and serum gal-3 and sST2 levels were higher in grade Ⅲ patients than in grade Ⅱ patients, LVFS, LVEF and E/A were lower than in grade Ⅱ patients (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum gal-3 and sST2 levels of LEFT ventricular Tei index were positively correlated with cardiac function grading, while E/A, LVEF, LVFS were negatively correlated with cardiac function grading (P<0.05). There was no correlation between LVESD, LVEDD, LAD, IVST, LVPWT and cardiac function grading (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】Color ultrasound combined with serum gal-3 and sST2 has high diagnostic value for hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy with left heart failure, and can be applied to clinical diagnosis of hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy with left heart failure.
