| Clinical effect of Modified Swenson Operation Assisted by Laparoscopy in the Treatment of Hirschsprung's Disease in Children |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the short-term and long-term effects of modified Swenson and Soave operation assisted by laparoscopy in the treatment of short segment Hirschsprung's disease in children. 【Methods】 Eighty children with short segment Hirschsprung's disease who underwent modified Swenson operation or Soave operation assisted by laparoscope were selected and divided into Swenson group and Soave group, 40 cases in each group. The operation indexes, short-term postoperative recovery and complications were compared between the two groups. The quality of life score, anal function score and the incidence of long-term complications were observed. 【Results】There was no significant difference in the length of bowel resection, indwelling catheter time and eating time between the two groups (P>0.05); The intraoperative blood loss, operation time and postoperative defecation frequency of the Swenson group were lower than those of the Soave group, and the postoperative intestinal peristalsis recovery time and postoperative hospital stay of Swenson group were shorter than those of the Soave group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of perianal dermatitis, anastomotic leakage, pelvic infection, enterocolitis and urinary retention between the two groups in 1 months after operation (P>0.05). The incidence of constipation, fecal contamination and anastomotic stenosis in the Swenson group was lower than that in the Soave group (P<0.05). After 2 years of follow-up, there was no significant difference in the incidence of enterocolitis, constipation and fecal contamination between the two groups (P>0.05); The excellent and good rate of quality of life and anal function in the two groups were higher, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】In the treatment of short segment Hirschsprung's disease in children, laparoscopic modified Swenson operation has more advantages than Soave operation in the incidence of short-term complications, postoperative recovery and intraoperative bleeding.
