Abstract  【Objective】To investigate the dynamic changes of C-reactive protein (CRP) to hemoglobin (Hgb) ratio (CRP/Hgb), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and galactose lectin-3 (Gal-3) in patients with acute infective endocarditis (AIE).【Methods】A total of 147 patients with AIE was selected. According to the survival within 1 month after admission, they were divided into death group (n=23) and survival group (n=124). The levels of CRP/HGB, ESR, Gal-3, white blood cell count (WBC) and procalcitonin (PCT) were compared between the two groups before treatment, 1 week after treatment and 2 weeks after treatment. The relevant influencing factors of prognosis were analyzed by logistic regression equation, and the working characteristic curve of subjects was used (ROC) the prognostic value of each index was analyzed. 【Results】 After 1 and 2 weeks of treatment, the levels of serum CRP/HGB, ESR, Gal-3, WBC and PCT in the death group were not significantly different from those before treatment (P>0.05); the above indexes in the survival group were lower than those before treatment, and the death group was higher than that in the survival group (P<0.05). Logistic regression equation analysis showed that the levels of CRP/HGB, ESR and Gal-3 after 1 and 2 weeks of treatment were related factors affecting the prognosis of patients (P<0.05). The AUCs of CRP/HGB, ESR and Gal-3 after 2 weeks of treatment were 0.827, 0.844 and 0.836 respectively (P<0.05), and the AUC of CRP/HGB+ESR+Gal-3 was 0.949 (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Monitoring the levels of CRP/HGB, ESR and Gal-3 during treatment is of great significance to evaluate the prognosis of AIE patients, and can assist in predicting the prognosis of AIE patients.
