| Application Efficacy of Nifedipine Controlled-Release Tablets Combined with Fosinopril Sodium Tablets in Elderly Hypertensive Patients in Community Settings |

Abstract 【Objective】 To explore the application efficacy of nifedipine controlled-release tablets combined with fosinopril sodium tablets in elderly hypertensive patients in community settings. 【Methods】 The clinical data of 80 elderly hypertensive patients treated at Kangqiao Community Health Service Center, Pudong New Area, Shanghai from September 2021 to September 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were divided into the control group (treated with fosinopril sodium tablets) and the observation group (treated with nifedipine controlled-release tablets combined with fosinopril sodium tablets) according to medication regimens, with 40 cases in each group. The clinical efficacy, diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure, blood pressure control rate, renal function and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 95.00% (38/40), which was higher than 72.50% (29/40) of the control group (χ2=7.440, P<0.05). After treatment, diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure decreased in both groups, and were lower in the observation group than in the control group (all P<0.05). The diastolic blood pressure control rate, systolic blood pressure control rate and dual blood pressure control rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05). After treatment, blood urea nitrogen and urinary microalbumin levels declined in both groups, and were lower in the observation group (all P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 Nifedipine controlled-release tablets combined with fosinopril sodium tablets achieve favorable efficacy for elderly hypertensive patients in community settings. It can effectively improve blood pressure control rate and ameliorate renal function with good safety profile.
