| Clinical Efficacy of Liangxue Huoxuetang Combined with UVB Phototherapy in the Treatment of Blood Heat Psoriasis Patients |

Abstract 【Objective】To explore the clinical efficacy of Liangxue Huoxuetang combined with narrow-band ultraviolet B (UVB) phototherapy in the treatment of blood heat psoriasis patients.【Methods】A total of 80 patients with blood heat psoriasis treated in our hospital from January 2021 to May 2022 were selected and divided into a control group (treated with triamcinolone acetonide urea cream combined with Liangxue Huoxuetang) and an observation group (treated with UVB phototherapy on the basis of the control group) according to admission order, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The clinical efficacy, psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) score, stratum corneum water content, sebum content, levels of related factors [interleukin-17 (IL-17), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1)], and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The clinical efficacy of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the PASI scores, IL-17, VEGF, and MCP-1 in both groups decreased compared to before treatment, and the above indicators in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05); After treatment, the water content and sebum content of the stratum corneum in both groups significantly increased compared to before treatment (P<0.05); And the water content and sebum content of the stratum corneum in observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of patients (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 The combination of Liangxue Huoxuetang and UVB phototherapy has good clinical efficacy in treating patients with blood heat psoriasis, significantly improving the degree of skin lesions and related factors, and has good safety.
