Effects of Qingre Xingnao Decoction Combined with Edaravone on the Neural Function of the Penumbra in Patients with Ischemic Stroke |

Abstract 【Objective】 To investigate the effect of Qingre Xingnao Decoction combined with edaravone on the neural function of the penumbra in patients with ischemic stroke. 【Methods】 From January 2019 to February 2021,40 patients with ischemic stroke admitted to the neurosurgery department of our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 20 patients in each group. The control group was treated with edaravone on the basis of routine treatment,while the observation group was treated with Qingre Xingnao Decoction on the basis of the control group. Comparison of ischemic penumbra perfusion parameters between two groups of patients before and after treatment[Cer ebral blood flow (CBF),cerebral blood volume (CBV),mean transit time (MTT) and the time of peak (TTP) of the contrast agent],inflammatory factors [interleukin-3 (IL-3),interleukin-5 (IL-5),interleukin-8 (IL-8)] and adverse reactions and neurological function were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 On the 7 and 14 days after treatment,CBF,MTT,and TTP in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group. The CBV level in the two groups was higher than that before treatment,and the observation group was higher than the control group,with significant differences (P<0.05); The serum levels of IL-3,IL-5,and IL-8 in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group,with significant differences (P<0.05); The CSS scores of patients in both groups were lower than before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group,with significant differences (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 20.0% (4/20),while that in the control group was 15.0% (3/20). There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P=0.677). 【Conclusion】 Qingre Xingnao Decoction combined with edaravone can improve the neural function of the penumbra and reduce the level of inflammatory factors in patients with ischemic stroke,which is safe and effective,and is worthy of clinical promotion.
