| Effect of Rapid Rehabilitation Nursing with the Assistance of Multidisciplinary Team on Stress Response and Quality of Life in Elderly Patients after Cataract Surgery |

Abstract 【Objective】 To explore the effect of rapid rehabilitation nursing assisted by multidisciplinary team (MDT) on stress response and quality of life in elderly patients after cataract surgery. 【Methods】 A total of 154 cases of elderly patients who received cataract surgery in our hospital from January 2016 to September 2017 were divided into the observation group and the control group according to different nursing methods, with 77 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, while the observation group was given rapid rehabilitation nursing with the help of MDT. Stress response, mental state, complications and quality of life were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 The stress response index of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) scores between the two groups before nursing (P>0.05), while the scores of SAS and SDS after nursing were significantly lower than those before nursing (P<0.05), and the observation group scores were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 6.49%, which was significantly lower than that in the control group 19.48% (P<0.05); the quality of life score in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 With the help of MDT, the application of rapid rehabilitation nursing in elderly patients after cataract surgery can effectively improve the status of anxiety and depression, alleviate stress response, reduce complications and improve the quality of life, which is worthy of clinical application.
