Abstract:【Objective】This study explores the effects of the ACTED nursing model combined with nutritional support on the nutritional status and quality of life in patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). 【Methods】 Eighty-six IBS patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 43 patients in each. The control group received routine care, while the observation group was given the ACTED nursing model and nutritional support in addition to routine care. The nutritional status, clinical symptoms, psychological state, and quality of life of the patients were compared before and after the intervention. 【Results】 After the intervention, levels of transferrin (TRE), albumin (ALB), and prealbumin (PAB) in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Clinical symptom scores were lower in the observation group (P<0.05). Scores on the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) were also lower in the observation group (P<0.05), and their quality of life scores were higher compared to the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The ACTED nursing model combined with nutritional support significantly improves the nutritional status and various functions of IBS patients and is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
