Diagnostic Value of High Frequency Ultrasound Combined with Ultrasonographic Microvascular Imaging in Diagnosis of Neck Lymph Node Metastasis in Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma
Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the diagnostic value of high frequency ultrasound combined with ultrasonographic microvascular imaging in neck lymph node metastasis of papillary thyroid carcinoma. 【Methods】A retrospective analysis was performed on 60 patients with a total of 90 lymph nodes who underwent thyroid papillary carcinoma surgery and neck lymph node dissection in our hospital from January 2020 to June 2023. High-frequency ultrasound, Ultrasonographic microvascular imaging, and high-frequency ultrasound combined with Ultrasonographic microvascular imaging were performed before surgery to compare the accuracy of diagnosing metastatic lymph nodes.【Results】A total of 90 cervical lymph nodes were metastatic in 60 patients, 65 of which were in the central neck and 25 in the lateral neck.The accuracy of high-frequency ultrasound combined with Ultrasonographic microvascular imaging in diagnosing cervical lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than that of high-frequency ultrasound and Ultrasonographic microvascular imaging alone (P<0.05). High-frequency ultrasonography showed that 44 patients with thyroid papillary carcinoma had short rod-shaped and dot-shaped blood flow signals inside or around the lesions , and 5 patients had branch-shaped blood flow signals inside the lesions. Ultrasonographic microvascular imaging showed that short rod-shaped and dot-shaped blood flow signals inside or around the lesions were seen in 40 patients, and branch-shaped blood flow signals inside the lesions were seen in 14 patients. 【Conclusion】High frequency ultrasound combined with ultra-micro angiography is of high diagnostic value in neck lymph node metastasis of papillary thyroid carcinoma.
