Abstract:【Objective】To explore the effects of combined treatment with delicate pulsed light(DPL) and supramolecular salicylic acid on skin characteristics and skin barrier function in photoaging patients. 【Methods】A total of 96 patients with photoaging admitted to Yongcheng People's Hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method, with 48 patients in each group. The control group received DPL treatment; The observation group patients received DPL combined with supramolecular salicylic acid treatment. We compared the skin texture [VISIA complex analysis system(VISIA)], barrier function [pH, skin moisture content, transdermal water loss(TEwL), skin oil content], skin improvement degree [global aesthetic improvement scale(GAIS), and global sun damage score(GSDS)] before and after treatment between two groups, and recorded the occurrence of adverse reactions(such as erythema, edema, scar formation, and pigmentation) in both groups.【Results】After treatment, the observation group had significantly lower skin texture, wrinkles, pores, pigmentation, and purple score than the control group; After treatment, the skin pH and TEwL in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, while the skin moisture and oil content were higher than those in the control group; After treatment, the GSDS of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05), and the GAIS was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). 【Conclusion】The combination of DPL and supramolecular salicylic acid treatment has a significant effect on improving skin characteristics and enhancing skin barrier function in photoaging patients, and can significantly reduce the incidence of adverse reactions. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
