Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the predictive value of serum homocysteine (Hcy) and fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF-23) on major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in patients with type H hypertension. 【Methods】 A total of 86 patients with H-type hypertension admitted to our hospital (observation group) were selected, and 78 healthy volunteers who came to the hospital for physical examination during the same period (control group) were selected. We compared the serum levels of Hcy and FGF-23 between patients with H-type hypertension and healthy individuals. The observation group was followed up for 1 year and divided into two groups based on the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events:the occurrence group (n=22) and the non-occurrence group (n=64). Univariate analysis of factors affecting the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in patients with type H hypertension. Logistic regression analysis was conducted on the factors influencing the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in patients with H-type hypertension. The value of predicting the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in patients with H-type hypertension was analyzed using the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC curve) to analyze serum Hcy and FGF-23 levels. 【Results】 The serum FGF-23 and Hcy levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Univariate analysis showed that the mean arterial pressure (MAP),left ventricular mass index (LVMI),low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C),and serum Hcy and FGF-23 levels in the affected group were higher than those in the non affected group (P<0.05). Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that LDL-C,Hcy,and FGF-23 were independent risk factors for the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in patients with type H hypertension (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Serum Hcy and FGF-23 levels are associated with the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in patients with H-type hypertension, and their combination can serve as sensitive indicators for predicting the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events.
