Abstract:【Objective】To explore the clinical effect of sinus endoscopy plus traditional Chinese medicine (clearing heat, dampness and phlegm) nasal lavage on sinusitis patients. 【Methods】A total of 82 patients with sinusitis admitted to our hospital from January 2016 to January 2017 were randomly divided into the observation group (n=41, endoscopic sinus surgery combined with Chinese medicine nasal lavage) and the control group (n=41,endoscopic sinus surgery combined with antibiotics saline nasal lavage). The clinical effects of the two groups were compared. 【Results】The nasal airway resistance at 8 and 12 weeks after treatment in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the olfactory function score of the observation was also less than that of the control group(P<0.05).The time of mucosal epithelialization after treatment in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, so the total effective rate 97.56% of the observation group was higher than that of the control group 85.37%, and the recurrence rate 4.88% of the observation group was lower than that of the control group 21.95% (χ2=3.904、5.144,P<0.05).The volume of nasal cavity (NCV) and the minimum cross section area of the nasal cavity (NMCA) after treatment in the observation group were more than those of the control group. The total score of quality of life (SNOT-20) score was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).【Conclusion】The nasal lavage of traditional Chinese medicine after endoscopic sinus surgery can effectively reduce the nasal airway resistance and improve the patient's sense of smell for patients with sinusitis. The overall effect is good.
