Abstract：【Objective】 To investigate the efficacy of Qinqiao oral liquid combined with Montelukast Sodium in the treatment of childhood asthmatic bronchitis.【Methods】 A total of 82 children with asthmatic bronchitis were randomly divided into a control group and a combination group, with 41 cases in each group. The control group received Montelukast Sodium, while the observation group received Montelukast Sodium plus Qinqiao oral liquid. The treatment time in both groups was 4 weeks. The clinical efficacy, improvement time of blood gas [Partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PCO2), blood oxygen saturation(SaO2)], clinical improvement indicators, levels of inflammatory factors [eosinophil cationic protein(ECP) and nitric oxide(NO)], and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.【Results】 The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 92.68%(38/41), which was significantly higher than that of the control group(73.17%(30/41). The difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.513, P<0.05).After treatment, the SaO2 level increased in both groups(P<0.05), and the increase in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). The PCO2 level decreased in both groups(P<0.05), and the decrease in the observation group was greater than that in the control group(P<0.05). The observation group had shorter durations of pulmonary wheezing relief, alleviation of wheezing, and resolution of cough compared to the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the levels of inflammatory factors NO and ECP between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05). After treatment, serum NO and ECP levels in both groups decreased compared to pre-treatment levels, with those in the observation group significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(χ2=0.554, P=0.457).【Conclusion】 The combination of Qinqiao oral liquid and Montelukast Sodium has significant efficacy in the treatment of childhood asthmatic bronchitis. It effectively regulates blood gas indicators, achieves faster improvement of clinical symptoms in children, reduces inflammatory response, and is safe and reliable.
