Abstract:【Objective】To explore the application value of small incision with external stripping and internal ligation resection in postoperative pain management of patients with mixed hemorrhoids. 【Methods】A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 156 patients with mixed hemorrhoids admitted to our hospital from March 2022 to March 2024. According to different surgical methods, the patients were divided into a control group (with traditional external excision and internal ligation resection, n=75) and an observation group (with small incision external excision and internal ligation resection, n=81). Efficacy, clinical indicators (intraoperative blood loss, surgery time, hospital stay, wound healing time, duration of pain), pre-operative and post-operative pain scores [Visual Analog Scale (VAS) scores], and incidence of complications were compared between two groups. 【Results】The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.30% (78/81), which was higher than the control group's 86.67% (65/75), and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=4.727, P<0.05). The intraoperative blood output of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the operation time, hospitalization time, wound healing time, and duration of pain were all shorter than those of the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). On postoperative day 1, both groups had higher VAS scores than before surgery, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). One week after surgery, the VAS scores of both groups were lower than those before surgery and one day after surgery; And the VAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05).【Conclusion】The clinical efficacy of small incision with external stripping and internal ligation resection for the treatment of mixed hemorrhoids is good, which can effectively reduce intraoperative bleeding, shorten surgical time and hospital stay, promote wound healing, alleviate pain, and have a low incidence of postoperative complications. It is worthy of clinical reference.
