Abstract:【Objective】To explore the effect of amlodipine combined with atorvastatin calcium tablets on clinical efficacy, blood lipids and cardiac function in elderly patients with hypertension complicated by coronary heart disease. 【Methods】A total of 68 elderly patients with hypertension complicated by coronary heart disease admitted to Houji Town Health Center of Wuyang County, Luohe City from September 2022 to September 2024 were selected. They were divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method, with 34 cases in each group. The therapeutic effect, blood pressure, blood lipid indexes [serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C)] and cardiac function indexes [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD)] were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The clinical effective rate of the observation group was 94.12% (32/34), which was higher than 73.53% (25/34) of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=5.314, P<0.05). After treatment, the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After treatment, the serum levels of TC, TG and LDL-C in both groups were lower than those before treatment, while the HDL-C level was higher than that before treatment; compared with the control group, the observation group had lower serum TC, TG and LDL-C levels and higher HDL-C level, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After treatment, the LVEF of both groups was higher than that before treatment, and the LVESD and LVEDD were lower than those before treatment; the observation group had higher LVEF and lower LVESD and LVEDD than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Amlodipine combined with atorvastatin calcium tablets can effectively improve blood pressure, blood lipids and cardiac function in elderly patients with hypertension complicated by coronary heart disease, and has good clinical application value.
