| Comparison of the Effects of Jejunal Interposition Anastomosis and Esophago-Jejunal Roux-en-Y Anastomosis in Digestive Tract Reconstruction after Radical Gastrectomy |

Abstract 【Objective】 To compare the effects of jejunal interposition anastomosis and esophago-jejunal Roux-en-Y anastomosis (EJRY) in digestive tract reconstruction after radical gastrectomy. 【Methods】 Eighty patients who underwent radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was given EJRY, and the observation group was given jejunal interposition anastomosis for digestive tract reconstruction. The clinical effects of the two groups were compared. 【Results】 There was no significant difference in the time of digestive tract reconstruction and hospital stay between the observation group and the control group (P>0.05). Before treatment, there were no significant differences in serum gastrin (GAS), motilin (MTL), and somatostatin (SS) levels between the two groups (P>0.05). At 7 days after surgery, the GAS level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, while there was no significant difference in MTL and SS levels between the two groups (P>0.05). At 6 months after surgery, the GAS and SS levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and there was no significant difference in MTL level between the two groups (P>0.05). The increases in hemoglobin, albumin, and body weight at 1 year after surgery in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group (P>0.05). The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Jejunal interposition anastomosis applied in digestive tract reconstruction after radical gastrectomy can improve the postoperative nutritional status and promote the recovery of digestive function.
