Abstract  【Objective】To investigate the early diagnostic value of ultrasound E-imaging combined with serum ferritin(SF) level in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD). 【Methods】A retrospective analysis was performed on 85 NAFLD patients admitted to our hospital from February 2020 to June 2022 and 60 healthy volunteers who received physical examinations in our hospital during the same period. They were selected and recorded as the NAFLD group and the healthy group, respectively. According to the severity of hepatic steatosis, NAFLD patients were further divided into three subgroups: mild steatosis group(26 cases), moderate steatosis group(38 cases) and severe steatosis group(21 cases). Young's modulus values were determined by ultrasound E-imaging in all subjects, and SF levels were detected by radioimmunoassay. The clinical data, Young's modulus value and SF level of the two groups were compared. The values of Young's modulus and SF levels in patients with NAFLD with different degrees of hepatic steatosis were compared as well. The related factors affecting the incidence of NAFLD were analyzed to reveal the early diagnosis value of Young's modulus value, SF and the combination of the two in predicting NAFLD occurrence. 【Results】The levels of body mass index(BMI), fasting blood glucose(FPG), total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), Young's modulus and SF in the NAFLD group were higher than those in the healthy group(P<0.05). Young's modulus value and SF level in severe steatosis group were higher than those in mild steatosis group and moderate steatosis group(P<0.05). The Young's modulus value and SF level in the moderate steatosis group were higher than those in the mild steatosis group(P<0.05). The results of multivariate analysis showed that BMI, Young's modulus and SF were the influencing factors affecting the occurrence of NAFLD(P<0.05). The results of ROC curve analysis showed that the sensitivity of Young's modulus value, SF and their combination for early diagnosis of NAFLD was 76.47%,78.82% and 75.29%, respectively; The specificity was 71.67%,68.33% and 96.67%, respectively; And their AUC were 0.734, 0.714 and 0.901, respectively. 【Conclusion】The occurrence of NAFLD is related to BMI, Young's modulus value and SF level. Ultrasound E-imaging combined with SF level is of high value in the early diagnosis of NAFLD.
