Diagnostic Value of Serum Anti-Mullerian Hormone and Sex Hormone Levels in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the diagnostic value of serum anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH) and sex hormone levels in the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS). 【Methods 】A total of 36 patients with PCOS admitted to our hospital from April 2020 to September 2023 were selected as the observation group,and 39 healthy women who underwent AMH and sex hormone level testing during the same period were selected as the control group.The serum AMH levels and sex hormone levels [follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),estradiol(E2),testosterone(T)] were compared between the two groups,and the diagnostic value of serum AMH and sex hormone levels for PCOS was analyzed using receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve. 【Results 】The serum AMH,LH,and T levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in serum E2 and FSH levels between the two groups(P>0.05). ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve of serum AMH in the diagnosis of PCOS was 0.761(95%CI:0.643-0.878,P<0.001),T was 0.660(95%CI:0.536-0.784,P=0.017),and LH was 0.611(95%CI:0.480-0.742,P=0.067). Serum AMH level had the highest diagnostic value for PCOS. 【Conclusion】The serum AMH,LH,and T levels in patients with PCOS were significantly increased,and both serum AMH and T levels had certain diagnostic value for PCOS,with serum AMH having the highest diagnostic value.
