Abstract  【Objective】To explore the effect of Qishiyishen Recipe on renal function and podocyte markers in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis. 【Methods】 A total of 130 patients with chronic glomerulonephritis treated in our hospital were divided into control group and observation group according to their admission number, with 65 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine treatment, and the observation group was treated with Qishiyishen recipe. The indexes of renal function, cellular immune function and the levels of podocyte markers [podocyte marker protein (PCX) and transmembrane protein B7-1] were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. 【Results】 Before intervention, there was no significant difference in renal function, cellular immune function and podocyte markers between the two groups (P>0.05). After the intervention, the indexes of urinary nitrogen, 24h urinary protein and blood creatinine in the two groups were lower than those before the intervention (P<0.05), and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05); The levels of CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ in the two groups were higher than those before the intervention (P<0.05), and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of CD8+ in the two groups were lower than those before the intervention (P<0.05), and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The contents of urinary PCX and urinary B7-1 in the two groups were lower than those before intervention (P<0.05), and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】The application of Qishiyishen recipe in the treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis can improve the level of renal function, correct the imbalance of T lymphocyte subsets, improve cellular immune function and reduce the damage of immune inflammation to podocytes.
