Expression and Clinical Significance of miR-449a in Lung Cancer Tissue |

Abstract 【Objective】To investigate the expression of microrna-449a (miR-449a) in lung cancer and its clinical significance.【Methods】 The specimens of cancer tissues and their corresponding adjacent tissues from 108 patients with lung cancer confirmed by pathology were collected, and the expression of miR-449a was detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to determine the correlation between the expression of miR-449a in lung cancer and clinicopathological features and prognosis of lung cancer patients.【Results】 The expression of miR-449a in lung cancer was significantly lower than that in adjacent tissues (P<0.05); The expression level of miR-449a was significantly correlated with clinical stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). The median survival time of high expression of miR-449a was higher than that of low expression (P<0.05).【Conclusion】 The expression of mir-449a is low in lung cancer. The expression of mir-449a is closely related to clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and prognosis.
