Abstract【Objective】 This report aims to study the relationship of homocysteine (Hcy), serum amyloid protein A (SAA) and lipoprotein associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) with early diabetic foot and to assess possible diagnostic value for early diabetic foot. 【Methods】 We collected 252 patients with Wagner grade 1 and 2 diabetic foot as the observation group and 175 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients without complications as the control group. The serum levels of Hcy, SAA and Lp-PLA2 were compared between the two groups and their diagnostic value in early diabetic foot was evaluated. 【Results】 After statistical analysis, we found that differences of Hcy ,SAA and Lp-PLA2 levels between the two groups were bio-statistically significant (P<0.05). Hcy, SAA and Lp-PLA2 were the risk factors of early diabetic foot (β value was 0.448, 0.206 and 0.044,respectively.) and they all showed statistical significance (P<0.001). The ROC curve showed that area under curve (AUC) of Hcy, SAA and Lp-PLA was 0.918, 0.892 and 0.967, respectively. The combination AUC of three parameters was 0.99.【Conclusion】 Form this study we know that the levels of Hcy,SAA and Lp-PLA2 in patients with early diabetic foot are higher than those of T2DM patients without diabetic foot complication. Hcy, Lp-PLA2 and SAA are the risk factors of early diabetic foot in T2DM, and combined detection is of great significance in the early diagnosis of diabetic foot.
