Abstract  【Objective】 To investigate and analyze the level of disease uncertainty and coping style of colorectal cancer patients in Bao'an District of Shenzhen.【Methods】 From January 2015 to January 2018,500 patients with colorectal cancer in Baoan District of Shenzhen City were selected as the subjects. All patients were diagnosed by pathological examination and participated in the questionnaire survey. the chinese version of the Mishel disease uncertainty scale (MUIS) was calculated for each item average, uncertainty score, complexity score, overall uncertainty total score using the medical coping modes questionnaire (MCMQ) survey to count the patient face, avoidance, yield score. correlation analysis of coping style and uncertainty in colorectal cancer patients.【Results】 Among the 493 valid questionnaires, the uncertainty score was (54.33±9.06), the complexity score was (33.76±5.13), and the total score was (89.29±13.75). Among them, 116 (23.53%) had low degree uncertainty, 211 (42.80%) had medium degree uncertainty and 166 (33.67%) had high degree uncertainty. There was no significant difference in the unclear score between rectal cancer patients and colorectal cancer patients (P>0.05); the complexity score and total score of rectal cancer patients were significantly higher than those of colorectal cancer patients, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The MCMQ volume surface score of rectal cancer patients was lower than that of colorectal cancer, and the avoidance, yield score was higher than that of colorectal cancer patients, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between coping style, avoidance, yield and uncertainty score, complexity score and total score (P>0.05).【Conclusion】 The disease uncertainty of colorectal cancer patients is more serious, among which rectal cancer patients are more obvious, the coping style appears the tendency of yielding and avoiding, so the patients should be targeted to guide, so that patients can face the disease more actively.
