Abstract 【Objective】 To explore the influencing factors of hyponatremia in patients with non-severe traumatic brain injury (non-sTBI).【Methods】 A total of 82 patients with non-sTBI admitted to Zhengzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to October 2024 were enrolled. They were divided into hyponatremia group (n=30) and non-hyponatremia group (n=52) according to the occurrence of hyponatremia. Clinical data were compared between the two groups. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify the influencing factors for hyponatremia in non-sTBI patients.【Results】 The proportions of patients with GCS score ≤12, skull-base fracture, subarachnoid hemorrhage, fever, vomiting and dehydrant use in the hyponatremia group were significantly higher than those in the non-hyponatremia group (all P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that GCS score ≤12, skull-base fracture, subarachnoid hemorrhage, fever, vomiting and dehydrant use were risk factors for hyponatremia in non-sTBI patients (all P<0.05).【Conclusion】 GCS score ≤12, skull-base fracture, subarachnoid hemorrhage, fever, vomiting and dehydrant use are risk factors for hyponatremia in patients with non-severe traumatic brain injury. Clinicians should timely identify high-risk patients for hyponatremia and implement targeted interventions.
