| The Effect of Resistance Breathing Training on Cardiopulmonary Function and Anxiety in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure |

Abstract 【Objective】To explore the effect of resistance breathing training on cardiopulmonary function and anxiety in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF).【Methods】A total of 128 patients with stable CHF were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 64 patients in each group. Both groups of patients were treated with conventional CHF drugs for 8 weeks, and the observation group received respiratory resistance training in combination with drug treatment. Before and after intervention, patients were tested for lung function (FEV1, FEV1/FVC%), 6-minute walking test (6MWT), dyspnea scale (mMRC), and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)-7 scale, respectively. The cardiopulmonary function, anxiety state, and adverse reactions of the two groups of patients were compared. 【Results】After intervention, FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in both groups increased compared to before intervention (P<0.05), and the observation group had higher indicators than the control group (P<0.05). The mMRC grading of the observation group improved compared to before intervention (P<0.05); There was no statistically significant difference in mMRC grading between the control group and before intervention (P>0.05), while the observation group had better mMRC grading than the control group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in 6MWT grading between the two groups compared to before intervention (both P>0.05), and there was no statistically significant difference in 6MWT grading between the two groups (P>0.05); The GAD-7 scores of both groups decreased compared to before intervention (P<0.05), and the GAD-7 scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05); There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P<0.05).【Conclusions】 The combination of respiratory resistance training and drug therapy can effectively improve the respiratory function and pulmonary ventilation function of CHF patients, alleviate negative emotions, and provide a new therapeutic approach for promoting patient recovery.
