Abstract  【Objective】To explore the application value of dual energy CT in identifying the components of urinary calculi in vivo. 【Methods】 A total of 106 patients with urinary tract stones admitted to the Shaoyang Central Hospital from October 2020 to October 2021 were selected and subjected to 80 kV/140 kV dual energy scanning and data collection. The composition of urinary tract stones was analyzed, and infrared spectroscopy was used as the gold standard to draw the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve for dual energy CT analysis. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of dual energy CT diagnosis were analyzed. 【Results】 Dual energy CT was used to analyze the composition of 126 urinary tract stones in 106 patients, including 30 urate stones and 96 non urate stones. 32 urate stones and 94 non urate stones were diagnosed by in vitro infrared spectroscopy. There was no statistically significant difference in the evaluation of different components of stones using dual energy CT and infrared spectroscopy (χ2=0.228,P>0.05). The effective atomic number of uric acid stones was 7.06 ± 0.68,while the effective atomic number of non uric acid stones was 12.87 ± 2.53,with a statistically significant difference (t=-11.00,P<0.001). The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of dual energy CT analysis of stone components were 87.5%,97.9%,and 95.2%,respectively. 【Conclusions】 Dual energy CT can accurately analyze the in vivo composition of urinary calculi, which helps guide clinical physicians to choose appropriate treatment methods.
