Abstract 【Objective】 To explore the application effect of a new type of movable double arm suspension in orthopedic lower limb surgery for obese patients. 【Methods】 A total of 386 obese patients who underwent lower limb surgery in our hospital from September 2019 to October 2020 were selected and divided into a control group (ordinary orthopedic disinfection hanger,n=116) and an observation group (movable double arm hanger,n=270) based on the use of disinfection hangers. We compared the general information of two groups of patients during surgery,the perception of fatigue caused by surgical procedures by the chief surgeon and instrument nurses,as well as the degree of postoperative pain and comfort between the two groups of patients. 【Results】 The number of intraoperative posture adjustments,surgical time,intraoperative blood loss,and postoperative healing time in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The physical and psychological fatigue scores of the chief surgeon and instrument nurse in the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The postoperative pain and comfort levels of the observation group patients were significantly better than those of the control group patients,with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Compared to ordinary orthopedic disinfection hangers,the use of new movable double arm hangers is more effective for obese patients undergoing orthopedic lower limb surgery. Patients recover faster after surgery,and the chief surgeon and instrument nurse have relatively less fatigue caused by the surgical operation. Patients have relatively low postoperative pain and comfort.
