Abstract  【Objective】To investigate the changes of serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and coagulation function in patients with pulmonary infection after cerebral aneurysm surgery and their correlation with prognosis. 【Methods】A total of 157 patients with cerebral aneurysms admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to May 2020 were divided into pulmonary infection group (n=56) and non pulmonary infection group (n=101) according to whether the patients were complicated with pulmonary infection after surgery. The coagulation function indexes and serum IL-6 and MMP-9 levels were compared between the two groups and patients with different prognosis. The predictive value of FIB, D-D, IL-6 and MMP-9 levels on the prognosis of pulmonary infection after cerebral aneurysm surgery was evaluated by using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. 【Results】 The levels of FIB, D-D, IL-6, MMP-9 in patients with pulmonary infection were higher than those in patients without pulmonary infection (P<0.05). The levels of IL-6, MMP-9, FIB and D-D in severe patients were significantly higher than those in mild and moderate patients (P<0.05). The levels of IL-6, MMP-9, FIB and D-D in patients with good prognosis were lower than those in patients with poor prognosis (P<0.05). ROC curve results showed that the AUC of FIB, D-D, IL-6, MMP-9 predicting the prognosis of pulmonary infection after cerebral aneurysm surgery were 0.763, 0.835, 0.755, 0.837, respectively. The AUC predicted by the above indicators was greater than that by a single indicator (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】The high expression of FIB, D-D, IL-6, MMP-9 in patients with pulmonary infection after cerebral aneurysm surgery is closely related to the severity and prognosis of pulmonary infection, which is of great significance for guiding clinical treatment.
