Effect of Mindful Behavior Training Combined with Empathy Nursing on Coping Style and Quality of Life of Lung Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy

Abstract  【Objective】To explore the effect of mindful behavior training combined with empathy nursing on the coping style and quality of life of patients with lung cancer chemotherapy. 【Methods】A total of 128 lung cancer chemotherapy patients admitted to the Provincial Hospital of Shandong First Medical University from January 2017 to December 2019 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group with 64 cases each by random table method. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was combined with mindful behavior training and empathy nursing. The psychological stress, coping style and quality of life of the two groups were compared. 【Results】Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the scores of the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) between the two groups before the intervention (P>0.05); after the intervention, the SAS and SDS scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before the intervention (P<0.01), and the SAS and SDS scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the scores of the two groups of coping styles before the intervention (P>0.05); after the intervention, the scores of the coping styles of the two groups were significantly better than those before the intervention (P<0.05), and the scores of the observation group were excellent In the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the quality of life scores between the two groups before the intervention (P>0.05); after the intervention, the quality of life scores of the two groups were improved compared with that before the intervention (P<0.05), and the scores of all dimensions of the quality of life of the observation group were compared with those of the control The group improved significantly (P<0.05).【Conclusion】Mindful behavior training combined with empathy nursing can help relieve anxiety and depression in patients with lung cancer chemotherapy, avoid negative coping behaviors, actively face chemotherapy treatment, and improve the quality of life.
