Abstract 【Objective】To explore the effect and safety of portable ultrasound-guided central venous catheterization. 【Methods】A total of 125 cases of central venous catheterization in our department were collected, 56 of which were used as the observation group, which was catheterized under portable ultrasound guidance, and the other 69 cases were used as the control group using traditional body surface markers to locate. Puncture success rate, complication rate, and puncture time were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The success rate of one puncture in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group [92.9%(52/56)vs 72.5%(50/69),P<0.05], the complication rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group[0%(0/56) vs 11.6%(8/69),P<0.05], and the puncture time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group [(8.31±1.41)min vs.(11.72±1.52)min,P<0.05]. A patient in the control group caused the guide wire to be incarcerated and could not be pulled out because the guide wire was mistakenly inserted into the transverse hole. After that, the guide wire was removed by surgery. 【Conclusion】Portable ultrasound can significantly improve the success rate of one-time puncture, shorten the puncture time, reduce the incidence of complications, and provide convenience for clinical treatment, which is worthy of wide promotion.
