Abstract  【Objective】 To investigate the correlation of platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR) and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2) with post stroke depression (PSD) in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). 【Methods】 According to the Hamilton Depression Scale 17 Versions (HAMD-17) score,100 patients with AIS were assigned to the PSD group (32 cases with scores ≥8) and the non-PSD group (68 cases with scores ≤7).Statistical methods were used to compare the general clinical data, laboratory results and the score of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) between the two groups. Pearson correlation analysis was made between the statistically significant indexes and HAMD-17 score, and logistic regression analysis was used to predict the influencing factors of PSD. 【Results】 The incidence rate of PSD was 32% after AIS follow-up for three months. PLR, Lp-PLA2 level and NIHSS score in the PSD group were higher than those in the non-PSD group, with statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that PLR, Lp-PLA2 and NIHSS score were positively with the HAMD-17 score (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that PLR, Lp-PLA2 and NIHSS scores were independent predictors of PSD occurrence. 【Conclusion】 PLR, Lp-PLA2 and NIHSS score were significantly higher in PSD patients. The severity of PSD was positively correlated with PLR, Lp-PLA2 and NIHSS score. PLR, Lp-PLA2 and NIHSS score were independent predictors of PSD.
