Abstract 【Objective】 To investigate the effects of 3D-designed orthopedic insoles and medical exercise on pain and foot function in patients with plantar fasciitis.【Methods】A total of 80 patients with plantar fasciitis in our hospital from September 2017 to September 2018 were selected as the research object. The patients were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. Patients in the observation group received 3D-designed orthopedic insoles combined with medical exercise, while patients in the control group only received medical exercise intervention. The recovery of foot function before and after intervention was compared between the two groups. The difference of foot function score (AOFAS), foot pain degree and movement disorder degree between the two groups before and after intervention was compared. The plantar fascia thickness and the longest walking time between the two groups before and after intervention was recorded as well. 【Results】The AOFAS score of the observation group after treatment was significantly higher than that of before treatment and the control group (P<0.05).The excellent and good rate of the observation group was 73.00%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group 35.00% (P<0.05).The scores of foot pain and movement disorder in the observation group after intervention were significantly lower than those in the pre-intervention observation group and the post-intervention control group (P<0.05).The thickness of plantar fascia in the observation group after intervention was significantly lower than that in the pre-intervention observation group and the post-intervention control group (P<0.05).The longest walking time in the observation group after the intervention was significantly lower than that in the pre-intervention observation group and the post-intervention control group (P<0.05).【Conclusion】The 3D-designed Orthopedic insole combined with medical exercise can effectively relieve foot pain and movement disorders of patients with plantar fasciitis, which is worthy of clinical application.
