| Correlation between Serum Glucose and Lactate Levels and Prognosis in Patients with Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage |

Abstract 【Objective】 To investigate correlation between serum glucose and lactate levels and prognosis in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. 【Methods】The clinical data of 71 patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage admitted to our hospital from February 2015 to January 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the prognosis of patients with hemorrhagic subarachnoid hemorrhage, patients were classified into the poor prognosis group (n=27) and the good prognosis group (n=44). Serum glucose and blood lactate levels were measured in both groups. Logistic regression was used to analyze the independent influencing factors of patients with poor prognosis. The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was used to analyze the efficacy of serum glucose (Glu), blood lactate (Lac) and combined detection in the diagnosis of poor prognosis in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. 【Results】The levels of bleeding, WBC, SCr, cTnI, Lac, and Glu in patients with poor prognosis were significantly higher than those in patients with good prognosis. The proportion of Hunt-Hess grade and hypertension in patients with poor prognosis was higher than that in patients with good prognosis. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that the amount of bleeding, levels of Lac, Glu, and WBC, and Hunt-Hess grading were risk factors for poor prognosis (P<0.05). Serum Glu level was positively correlated with mRS score and blood loss (r=0.678, 0.734, P<0.05). Serum Lac level was also positively correlated with mRS score and blood loss (r=0.681, 0.705, both P<0.05) The efficacy of serum glucose diagnosis in patients with poor diagnosis is higher than that of blood lactate. The combined detection of serum glucose and blood lactate is more effective than single indicator in predicting prognosis of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. 【Conclusion】Serum glucose and blood lactate levels are closely related to poor prognosis in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, which can accurately assess the prognosis of patients. The detection of serum Lac and Glu levels is convenient and rapid, and has certain efficacy for diagnosis. The combined detection and diagnosis of patients with poor prognosis is more effective, which is of great significance for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
