Abstract  【Objective】 To explore the efficacy and incidence of complications of different bone transplantation techniques for hand enchondroma. 【Methods】 A total of 80 patients with hand enchondroma admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University from May 2018 to May 2021 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to a random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The observation group underwent ipsilateral distal and dorsal radial bone harvesting with lesion scraping and bone grafting, while the control group received autologous ipsilateral iliac bone harvesting. Treatment efficacy, surgical time, hospital stay, hospitalization costs, hand function scores, and donor site complications were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 The excellent and good rate of the observation group was 90.00%,which was significantly higher than the 70.00% of the control group (P<0.05). The surgical time, hospitalization time, and hospitalization expenses in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The activity, sensation, appearance, work ability, and total score of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of donor site complications in the observation group was 7.50%,which was significantly lower than the 25.00% in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Autologous ipsilateral distal and dorsal radial bone extraction for hand enchondroma has advantages over iliac bone extraction in terms of simplicity and economy, which makes it a highly effective treatment method.
